Ingredients for Christmas Tree Pretzels:
- Mini pretzel rods
- Green candy melts or chocolate
- Sprinkles
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Frosting (optional)
Instructions:
1. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy chocolates according to package instructions until smooth. Add the slightly cooled chocolate into a piping bag and snip off the tip so you can slowly pipe chocolate out.
2. Pretzels Trees: Lay a pretzel stick on parchment paper. Pipe a zig zag starting at the top and increasing in size toward the bottom of the pretzel rod to form a tree shape. Leave the bottom inch, the "stump of the tree" plain so you can stick it into the Brownie Bite allowing the tree to stand up.
3. Decorate: While the chocolate is still melted, sprinkle the pretzels with festive sprinkles to mimic ornaments on a Christmas tree. If you want an extra sparkle, add a sprinkle of edible glitter on top! Allow to dry completely and repeat to make the rest of the trees.
Now it’s time to assemble your festive dessert platter! Place two Brownie Bites in a cupcake wrapper. You can add frosting between two brownies or just leave them plain. Dust the top of the Brownie Bites with powdered sugar. Using an undecorated pretzel rod, push holes for the trees into the top of each brownie bite. Having a pre-made hole helps the fragile trees not to break when you place them into the Brownie Bites. Place a tree into each Brownie Bite. Arrange on a platter and serve!
For an extra festive touch, you can even create a snowy effect by scattering more powdered sugar over the platter. Ideal for holiday parties, gatherings, or even cozy evenings in, this dessert will surely bring a smile to everyone’s face.
