What Is Personal Information?

“Personal Information” is defined, in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as information that “identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household”, such as, for example, your name, age, postal address and zip code, e-mail address(es), telephone number or social security number. The term “Personal Information” does not refer to data that cannot, out of context, directly or indirectly identify you. Thus, information that is aggregated and anonymized (that is, not associated with a specific individual or household) is not considered Personal Information.

Personal Information That We May Collect

Our website exists primarily to provide information about Sugar Bowl Bakery: the history of the company, a declaration of the company’s core values, a listing for prospective customers of the company’s various capabilities and services, a display of our certifications, a list of the community organizations Sugar Bowl Bakery supports, a description of each of our flagship products and access to published press about the company. We do not require that those who visit our website register, or create an account, or otherwise provide us with any Personal Information.

However, if you wish to give us feedback regarding our products or service, you have the option of calling our toll-free number or submitting your comments and/or questions through the website. In either case, we will ask you to provide us your name, email address and telephone number, so that we are equipped to provide you a meaningful response.

Likewise, if you are interested in pursuing a job opportunity with Sugar Bowl Bakery, then we provide a link that allows you to download our employment application. The employment application requires that you disclose certain Personal Information, including your full name, your telephone number, your complete street address, in addition to the full names and telephone numbers of up to three references. In addition, the application also requires you to provide details about your education and your employment history. Once completed, you may either submit the application by email, or drop it off in person or submit it by U.S. mail. In the hiring process, we may contact, with your consent, third parties, such as, for example, the references you provided and/or the Department of Motor Vehicles. If you are hired, the company keeps your employment application materials throughout the duration of your employment with us, as described in the Privacy Notice to California Employees. If you are not hired into the position for which you applied, the company typically retains employment application materials, as long as required or permitted by applicable law, so that, in the event another position with the company for which you may be a candidate opens up, we can make you aware of the opportunity.

If you represent, for example, a Sugar Bowl Bakery customer, a broker, or a supplier, you may, from time to time, voluntarily offer Personal Information, such as your cell phone number on the back of your business card, your pronoun preference in your signature block on email communications, voicemail messages, text messages or through private social media channels, to facilitate transactional communications in the course of doing business with us.

Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address.

The Device Information is collected using the following technologies:
