Position: Mixer and Machine Operator

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Our growth has created immediate needs for the following positions: Mixer/Machine Operator.  
 Reports to:  Shift Lead
 Direct Reports:  None
 Summary: Prepares and produces dough forming meeting minimum requirements by listening to details and following instructions.  Follows company’s Food Safety, GMPs, and Safety guidelines.

 

 

 

Responsibility or Job/Duty Description

 

Must work at a set rate and keep up with production needs while operating machinery, and work in  multi-functions and/or positions. Report immediately any poor productivity issues or machinery issues.
Strictly follows production processes, recipes and work methods.  Inspects equipment and materials to ensure their acceptability before use.  Reports any non-compliances, problems, or suspicious conditions to leads or supervisors immediately.
Follow company’s GMP and policy. Inspect all ingredients before use. 
Report immediately any bad ingredients to shift lead 
Report to shift lead any suspicious product or conditions 
Report to shift lead any safety issues viewed beyond your working area, etc; standing water, ingredient spilled or leaking.

Minimum Education and Related Experience Requirements Related work experience within the food industry a plus 

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

 

Must be able to work with and get along with others.

Must be able to listen to details and follow instructions given.

 

Minimum Language Requirements Must be able to speak and write Basic English proficiently.  Multi-language skills preferred.
Minimum Admin Skills Basic math skillsMust be able to read and understand numerals

 

Minimum Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 50-60 pounds frequently and must be able to work entire shift on feet, and must be able to push & pull heavy bakery racks or pallets frequently.Able to work variety of shifts (as needed)

Must be on time to work.

Starting Salary $15.50/hour
